Zac DeVries is a law student at Michigan State University College of Law, where he has focused his legal studies on business and corporate law.
He is actively involved in several student organizations at the law school, including the Christian Legal Society and the Elliot Spoon Business and Securities Law Institute.
Prior to attending law school, Zac worked for four years in the audit and assurance department at BDO USA in Grand Rapids and is currently registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan. He holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in accounting from Calvin University in Grand Rapids.
During his time at Calvin, Zac participated in various finance and accounting student organizations and volunteer groups, such as Knight Investment Management, a student-led group that invests a percentage of school funds in the stock market. He also volunteered with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), a nationwide program that partners with local non-profits to provide free tax preparation services to low-income communities. This past year, Zac was reintroduced to the VITA program in the Lansing area, where he has been serving as a volunteer since January.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Zac and his wife currently reside in the Greater Lansing area. They were married in July 2024 and enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and playing with their cat, Olive.
