Chico S. Obande is an Attorney at Willis Law. He is admitted to practice law in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, and Texas.
Chico graduated with a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and holds two Masters of Law degrees in Taxation and Insurance, which he also received from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Prior to Joining Willis Law, Chico served as Partner for a local Michigan Law Firm as well as Chief Legal Officer for a local financial firm. Chico provides counsel to high-net-worth individuals, and families focusing on income, estate and gift tax planning and assisting business owners on how to pass their ownership interests most effectively from one generation to the next.
Outside of his professional career, Chico enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children. Chico also takes pride in coaching his daughters in the game of basketball, which he himself enjoys playing.
Chico believes in treating clients like family and providing excellence in service, driven by core values espoused by his Christian faith. These same core values drew him to joining Willis Law.
